How to install blinds on an inward-opening window

Installing blinds on inward-opening windows requires consideration of the window's opening method and structural characteristics. The core steps include measurement, bracket adaptation, installation, and adjustment. Because inward-opening windows open inwards, traditional external blind brackets may not be directly usable and require a customized solution.

Inward-opening windows have gaps between the frame and the sash, and the sash occupies interior space when open. Therefore, drill-free or adjustable brackets should be prioritized. When measuring, pay attention to the following:

Frame Width and Depth: Use a measuring tape to measure the width and depth of the inner side of the frame (distance from the frame edge to the glass) to ensure the bracket does not obstruct the window's opening path after installation. For example, if the frame depth is 5cm, choose a bracket model with a thickness <=3cm to avoid affecting the full opening of the window.

Window Opening Angle: Inward-opening windows typically open 90℃-180℃, requiring at least 15cm of interior space for sash movement. If space is limited, consider installing side-mounted blinds, fixing the bracket to the side of the window frame instead of the front.

Glass type: If the window is double-glazed, choose a lightweight aluminum alloy bracket to prevent glass deformation due to excessive weight.
